In order to not get stressed out, don’t get too…
- Hungry- You are on your own with this now. Try not to skip meals as it messes up your mood and you won’t be able to think properly. When hungry get down to the dining hall!
- Angry – Try to manage your emotions: take a walk, work out, talk to a friend, do something you enjoy and don’t do anything you will regret later like drink or pick fights.
- Lonely -Stay connected to your support network. Call home! Text or email your friends, mentors, pastors, coach. Get involved in activities on campus- be around people.
- Tired –Impose a strict bedtime schedule on yourself; take brief 20 minute naps if needed. Try to stay away from excessive all-nighters.
